The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has shortlisted 14 candidates for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position following a nationwide recruitment drive.
The vacancy was advertised on September 17, 2024, with the application deadline set for October 7, 2024.
In a notice issued on Friday, EACC revealed that 172 candidates from all 47 counties applied for the position. After a rigorous review, the Commission narrowed the list to 14 finalists.
The shortlisted candidates include Stephen Maisha Ngowa (Kitui), Doreen Nkatha Muthaura (Isiolo), Jackson Kaunda Mue (Machakos), Joseph Vincent Onyango (Nairobi), and Paul Ndemo Maina (Kisii).

Also on the list are Victor Omari Okongo (Siaya), Peter Lokol Lomulen (Turkana), Obadiah Kipkoech Keitany (Baringo), John Tentemo Ole Moyaki (Kajiado), and David Kiplagat Ruto Too (Uasin Gishu).
Completing the lineup are Abdi Mohamed Mohamud (Garissa), Justa Wawira Mwangi (Embu), Mohamed Abdul Mmaka (Lamu), and Waweru Karanja (Laikipia).
“The shortlisted candidates are invited to attend interviews at the Public Service Commission House, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi, in the 1st-floor boardroom,” stated the EACC notice, detailing the schedule for interviews.
Ngowa, Muthaura, Mue, Onyango, and Maina are slated for interviews on November 19, 2024, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Okongo, Lomulen, Keitany, Moyaki, and Too will be interviewed on November 20, while Mohamud, Mwangi, Mmaka, and Karanja will appear on November 21.
Candidates are required to bring their national ID cards, academic and professional certificates, valid clearance documents from the KRA, DCI, HELB, CRB, and a self-declaration form from the EACC. Additionally, those with foreign degrees must present letters of recognition from the Commission of Higher Education and, where applicable, recommendation letters from professional bodies.
EACC has also invited members of the public to provide any credible information related to the suitability of the candidates.
The successful candidate will replace the current CEO, Twalib Mbarak, whose six-year term ends in January 2025.
