In the efforts of expanding market access for its key exports and deepening industrial ties, Kenya has partnered with Morocco as Trade and Investment Cabinet Secretary Lee Kinyanjui and Morocco’s Minister for Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policy Karim Zidane held bilateral talks.
The meeting underscored Kenya’s ambition to position itself as a regional hub for manufacturing, trade and value addition, opening new opportunities for collaboration with North Africa.
At the talks, CS Kinyanjui outlined investment opportunities in Kenya’s pharmaceutical, fertilizer, petroleum and shipbuilding sectors.
The agreement will pursue further engagements through their respective investment agencies. It will unlock partnerships that will generate employment opportunities, strengthen industries and supply chains and build wealth for citizens in both nations
Access to the market will offer chances to expand its growth beyond East Africa, while Morocco gains a strategic ally in the region.
