President William Ruto has begun the construction of a Huduma Centre in Doldol, Laikipia North Constituency, as part of the government’s initiative to make service delivery more accessible to the communities.

The Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, national and local leaders, were among those who witnessed the start of work at the site of Huduma Centre as the government rolled out its plan of increasing access to public services countrywide.

During the visit, President Ruto laid the foundation stone for Doldol Huduma Centre, an ambitious project that will also see the establishment of an ICT hub and provision of 168 government services to the people of Laikipia North and the surrounding localities.

The head if state pledged that his government will carry on the infrastructural projects that have been initiated in Laikipia County.

“We are also investing KSh15 billion in the Affordable Housing Programme, which will include building 13 modern markets”

The President said that the government’s main agenda is not only the upgrading of service delivery but also the facilitation of the citizens to efficiently access essential services.

The school bus was also handed over to Kurum Day Secondary School by the leaders in the spirit of supporting education development in the area.

One of the government’s strategies to turn around the concept of service delivery by enhancing accessibility, efficiency, and citizen-centred approach through Huduma Kenya Centres nationwide is accelerating the building of Huduma Centres in all the 290 constituencies.
