President William Ruto has presided over the swearing-in of Justice Mohammed Abdullahi Warsame as the 14th Judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya.
Speaking during the ceremony held at State House Nairobi, President Ruto congratulated Justice Warsame on his appointment to the country’s apex court, expressing confidence in his ability to strengthen the Judiciary through his extensive legal and judicial experience.
The Head of State said Justice Warsame’s wealth of knowledge and commitment to justice would make a positive contribution to the Supreme Court and the broader administration of justice in Kenya.
“I am confident that your vast experience will make a positive impact on Kenya’s apex court. You have my full support and prayers as you begin this important chapter of service to our nation.,” President Ruto stated, assuring the judge of his support and prayers as he takes up the new role.
During the same event, the President also witnessed the conferment of Senior Counsel status to lawyer Evans Thiga Gaturu and advocate Jedidah Wakonyo Waruhiu in recognition of their contribution to the legal profession and the advancement of constitutional democracy.
Ruto congratulated the two legal practitioners, wishing them success as they continue serving the country in promoting justice, the rule of law and strengthening Kenya’s democratic institutions.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and Chief Justice Martha Koome, among other senior government and Judiciary officials.
Justice Warsame joins the Supreme Court at a time when the Judiciary continues to play a central role in upholding constitutional governance and resolving key national legal disputes.
