U.S. President Trump With The Artemis II Astronauts

The United States (U.S.) President Donald Trump hosted the Artemis II astronauts on April 29, 2026,paid a visit at the Oval Office. Trump meeting them he praised their efforts, mission and achievement, assuring them they have captured the world’s attention.

At the meeting he highlighted the growing excitement around NASA’s Artemis program, which is aiming  to return humans to the moon and pave way for missions to Mars.

The astronauts, dressed in the signature of blue NASA flight jackets, were welcomed by Trump at the Resolute Desk. He recommended their courage and dedication towards reaching the moon, emphasizing their upcoming mission will also represent a historic milestone in space exploration.

He noted the Artemis program has become one of the global focal point, with thousands of people are on the look and reaffirming America’s leadership in science and technology will be on help. The Artemis II mission crew was the first flight of NASA’s Orion spacecraft, launched atop the Space Launch System (SLS).

The four astronauts, who wore orange NASA spacesuits at the launch to the moon, orbit the moon testing spacecraft systems and preparing for future lunar landings.

Trump hosting the crew at the Oval Office highlights the political importance of space exploration as unifying global endeavor.
