Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has weighed in on the opening of impeachment proceedings at the Milimani High Court, expressing optimism for a fair judicial process.

In a brief statement shared on his official platforms, Gachagua acknowledged the commencement of the case.

“Day one at the Milimani High Court on the hearing of the impeachment case.” Gachagua said in a statement.

He further called for justice and unity, adding, “May justice prevail. God bless Kenya.”

The remarks come as the High Court begins hearing petitions challenging the legality and process of the impeachment, a case that has attracted national attention and political interest.
