Rising Starlets head coach Jackline Juma has named a provisional 32-player squad as preparations step up for the third round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Tanzania, with the team already five days into residential camp.
The squad has been reduced from an initial group of 60 players who reported at the start of training, following evaluations by the technical bench based on form, fitness, and tactical suitability.
Kenya heads into the next qualification phase buoyed by an impressive second-round showing against Ethiopia, where the Rising Starlets posted a commanding 5–1 aggregate victory to advance.
The third-round clash against Tanzania will be decided over two legs, with Kenya hosting the first match before travelling for the return fixture.
The first leg is scheduled for the 7th at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi, while the return leg will be played on the 14th at the Azam Complex in Tanzania.
With progression at stake, the Rising Starlets will be aiming to capitalize on home advantage in the opening leg before seeking a positive result away.
