Kenyan President William Ruto has called for urgent and comprehensive reforms at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to address rapidly evolving global challenges.
Speaking at the Summit of the Future, held at the United Nations General Assembly Hall, President Ruto emphasized the need for a more robust and capable UNSC in order to tackle critical global issues.
“The current system has proven inadequate in addressing crises such as climate change, inequality, the debt burden, and conflict,” President Ruto said.

He pointed out that the existing arrangements have repeatedly failed to deliver timely and effective solutions to the world’s most pressing problems.
President Ruto warned that without immediate action, humanity is on the verge of facing an unprecedented global crisis.
He underscored the importance of reforming the UNSC to ensure that it has the capacity to provide timely solutions in a rapidly changing world.
