AMREF Flying Doctors have resumed their life-saving operations, just over a week after a fatal plane crash in Mwihoko, Kiambu County claimed the lives of four staff members.
Speaking at the organization’s headquarters at Wilson Airport, Group CEO Dr. Githinji confirmed that one of the first missions since the tragedy involved flying from Nairobi to Belgium to assist a victim of a separate accident.
Dr. Githinji said the team remains deeply affected by the loss but is determined to carry on its humanitarian mission. Despite the heartbreak, the organization says its commitment to providing emergency air evacuations and medical assistance across Africa remains unwavering.
