Kenyan musician Patelo has strongly fired back at critics who have been buzzing on social media about the age difference between him and his wife. When their vibrant wedding photos found their way onto the internet, some of his fans could not help but comment on their apparent age difference. Patelo is having none of it he is in love.
In an emotional but passionate response, Patelo uttered:
“Mama ni wangu, mali ni yangu, hutanipanga mtu wa kukaa na yeye,”
which loosely translates to: “She’s my woman, my property, and no one can dictate to me who to be with.”.
The statement, now viral, has spurred conversation on every social media platform. Some praised him for standing his ground and choosing love over people’s opinion. Others still commented on the age difference between the couple.
