Reverend Mildred Ayemba, the mother of Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Vice President McDonald Mariga and former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama is set to be laid to rest in Soy, Uasin Gishu County on Saturday.
Mama Mildred who was married to former AFC Leopards legend Noah Wanyama passed on in June 14.
She had five children; Mariga, Victor, Thomas and Sylvester Wanyama, who are all footballers, and Mercy Wanyama, a professional basketballer in Spain.

She was also a doting grandmother to 16 grandchildren.
“Reverend Wanyama, daughter of the late Reverend Harry Omotuku and Mama Ayitso, lived a life of faith and service that touched countless lives. As the family prepares to lay her to rest, they take comfort in the words of 2nd Timothy 4:7: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith.” Her eulogy reads.
Her Memorial Service will be held tomorrow at Church of God, South B, Mariakani.
