After a 13-year hiatus, Gulf Air has announced the relaunch of direct flights to Nairobi, Kenya.

Following the resumption, the Bahrain’s national carrier’s first flight will land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) today, Monday, June 2.

Gulf Air will operate five weekly flights to JKIA using its Airbus A320neo fleet.

The new service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, with two additional flights on Fridays.

The resumption is expected to strengthen Gulf Air’s African network and enhance connectivity between Bahrain and Kenya for both business and tourism.

The airline’s CEO, Jeffrey Goh, asserted the company’s commitment to expanding its global reach while fostering economic and tourism ties between Bahrain and Kenya.
