Four people accused of sodomising a Mombasa-based blogger have been arraigned at the Shanzu Law Courts.
The four, Abdul Athman, Violet Adera, Esther Muthoni and Haji Babu appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Robert Mbogo on Tuesday where they pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to ODPP, the four were charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and abduction with intent to confine.
Additionally, Abdul and Haji were charged with gang rape and assault with intent to cause actual bodily harm.
The court heard that the blogger was sexually abused on September 12, at an unknown place after a video he had shared on social media irked a prominent leader.
Prosecution Counsel led by Anthony Musyoka opposed bail for the victims. A ruling on the bail application will be delivered on Thursday.
