Nigerian musician Innocent “2Baba” Idibia popularly known as 2Face has issued an apology to Natasha Osawaru, his wife nd their children. His apology followed backlash over stating that men are not built to stay faithful to one partner.
In an Instagram video circulating online, on July,2 2025, 2Baba accepted his mistakes and he accepted responsibility. “I know I messed up with what I said… I know I’m going to pay a heavy price. I want people to understand my stance, but there’s no excuse. I own it,” he said.
2Baba apologized to everyone he disappointed, “This isn’t who I am. I’m truly sorry,” he said, visibly remorseful. Addressing his wife directly, he added, “Natasha, you are incredible—smart, loving, wonderful. I’m so sorry. To my kids, you don’t deserve to be dragged into this.”
2Baba’s comment caused so much online outrage with online users accusing him of fuelling toxicity and undervaluing accountability in relationships. Most people saw his words offensive but his apology as a mature move.
