Several key government websites are currently inaccessible after being compromised in a suspected cyberattack.
They include websites linked to ministries and state agencies, including Health, Education, Labour, Environment, ICT, Tourism, Interior and President William Ruto’s official The Presidency.
The webpages were compromised on the morning of Monday, November 17, by hackers allegedly from the United Kingdom.
The messages left by the hackers read: “Access denied by PCP”, “We will rise again”, “White power worldwide”, and “14:88 Heil Hitler”, among other unfounded claims about who sponsored them.
The cyberattack has rendered several online services unavailable, frustrating users.
