Media personality Shatta Bway has announced his departure from Cape Media, just a little over a year after joining the station, where he served multiple roles.

At Cape Media, Shatta, born Stephen Maunda Junior, was a radio presenter at Radio 47, a host at TV47 and also a director of projects and strategy at MayBets.

Taking to his socials, the sports enthusiast, who previously worked at Royal Media Services, confirmed his exit and reflected on his six-year broadcasting journey.

"Six years ago, I switched on a microphone and introduced you to The Shatta Bway โ€” and you guys became family instantly. Youโ€™ve been with me through thick and thin, the highs and lows of life. Today, I have made another decision. I have officially left Cape Media. I leave with no regrets," said Shatta.

While he did not disclose the exact reason behind his exit, he noted that his fans had requested him to host a daily radio show and had decided to grant them their wish.

"Mlisema Shatta rudi kwa Radio Daily na nimewasikiliza... so stay tuned for the next chapter. Mtapenda. Thanks for being loyal soldiers in the Shatta Army," he added.
