National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has urged Kenyans to reject political violence and protect young people from being exploited during the 2027 General Election campaigns.
Speaking after attending a fellowship at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Kanduyi, Bungoma County, Wetang’ula said politicians should not use young people to fight political battles.
He called on the youth to avoid being recruited into political violence and instead participate in elections peacefully.
“Let us not allow our youth to fight over politics,” Wetang’ula said.
The Speaker urged voters to exercise their democratic rights by voting according to their conscience and returning home peacefully after casting their ballots.
Wetang’ula also appealed to Kenyans to unite and support President William Ruto for a second term in the 2027 elections.
