A 66-year-old Scottish man has been sentenced to life imprisonment after he brutally killed his 37-year-old Kenyan wife, identified as Darrel Odhiambo.
Walter Buchanan was found guilty of killing Odhiambo by strangulation by an Edinburgh High Court judge, Lord Cubie.
The court heard that Buchanan unleashed terror on his wife after she confronted him for cheating on her.
Aggrieved from the confrontation, the Scottish man assaulted the lady by compressing her neck and restricting her breathing, which resulted in her demise.
The incident happened at their flat near Hamilton Racecourse in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.
