It will be easier for Kenyans to claim unclaimed financial assets such as dormant bank accounts, shares, insurance policies, and unpaid dividends from their nearest Huduma Centre after new helpdesk points were set up around the country.

Public Investments and Asset Management Principal Secretary Cyrell Odede said that the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority is one of the recent state agencies to set up service desks in all the 59 Huduma Kenya centres across the country.

This step is part of a government plan to bring public services closer to the people, thus making them more accessible.

Odede said that the integration will make it easier for people to locate and recover financial assets that have been left unclaimed for a long time, thus saving the time and resources of those who had previously had to travel long distances or deal with complicated procedures.

The helpdesks will assist the public in verifying, claiming, and refund processing of the assets held by the authority, hence a better understanding of the issue and enhanced service delivery.

The government has urged the public to verify their statuses and use the services newly available at the Huduma Centres in order to reclaim their rightful possessions.
