The ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) delegation currently in Uganda today joined the National Resistance Movement (NRM) for their 44th Tarehe Sita commemoration.

The commemoration marks February 6, 1981, when NRM founder members commenced their armed liberation struggle for the socio-economic transformation of Uganda.

During the event, the high-level delegation led by UDA secretary general Hassan Omar, which was invited by Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, met with President Yoweri Museveni, who was the chief guest.

Others in the UDA delegation include party Chairperson Governor Cecily Mbarire, National Treasurer Japheth Nyakundi, Deputy Executive Director Brian Higgins Mbugua, party directors and a section of the secretariat.

During their stay, the UDA officials will engage their NRM counterparts in discussing matters of mutual interest to the two parties and Kenya and Uganda as a whole.
