Sofapaka secured a 2-0 victory over Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) in an early FKF Premier League fixture at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday.
Jack Onganya gave Sofapaka the lead in the 36th minute, and Edward Omondi sealed the win with a second goal in the 72nd minute, handing KCB their fourth defeat of the season.
Despite having Charles Junior sent off in the 67th minute, Sofapaka held on to their lead and managed to claim all three points, ensuring a hard-fought win for the 2009 league champions.
