TECNO is rolling out EllaClaw, a new mobile AI agent that promises to make using smartphones easier for Kenyans and other emerging markets. This is the first AI tool powered by TECNO’s OpenClaw framework, and it’s designed to help people get things done on their phones without needing technical know-how.
EllaClaw operates within Ella, which is the smartphone assistant by TECNO. It operates at the system level, allowing for the performance of complex functions through a single command. These include functions like setting appointments, managing files, and keeping track of the bill. The aim is to make smartphone operations conform to the lifestyle of Kenyan people in their daily activities.
The upcoming beta version comes with three major functions:
- One Sentence Automation – You can give a simple instruction, even casually, and EllaClaw will complete the whole task for you.
- Cross-App Data Integration – EllaClaw links information from SMS, calendar, notes, and other apps. For example, it can summarize SMS messages, highlight important ones, and show a clear daily schedule with your events, notes, weather, and news all in one place.
- Persistent Memory – Over time, EllaClaw learns how you use your phone and adapts to your habits, making it a digital companion that can anticipate your needs.
TECNO says privacy is a priority, so all your data stays secure and private.
This launch builds on TECNO’s recent CAMON 50 Series, which already offers powerful performance and advanced features. EllaClaw adds another layer, making the smartphone smarter and easier to use.
Beta testing details and availability in Kenya will be shared soon. Users can follow TECNO’s official channels for updates.
