Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz has strongly denied claims made by a socialite, who alleged that she is expecting his child. The artist has dismissed these allegations, labeling them as an attempt to damage his reputation by leaking intimate videos. The controversy ignited when private clips, showing Diamond in affectionate moments with socialite Rita Norbeth, surfaced on social media. The videos, which quickly spread like wildfire, were first shared by Tanzanian blogger Mange Kimambi and depict Diamond and Rita in cozy and intimate settings.
In the footage, the two appear deeply affectionate, sharing hugs, kisses, and moments of closeness. Diamond is heard showering Rita with compliments, admiring her beauty and curves while looking happy in her presence.
The situation took a dramatic turn when Rita later announced her pregnancy, leading to rumors that Diamond could be the father. However, the artist, unbothered by the growing buzz, took to Instagram to address the situation. He confirmed that although he had been in a relationship with Rita in the past, they had parted ways years ago.
Diamond explained that the videos were old, recorded in 2023, and that they had no bearing on his current life. He clarified that the footage was being used as part of a deliberate effort to blackmail him. “I have seen clips being circulated online about me. These clips are from 2023, over two years ago… I broke up with this woman almost two years ago. I also explained to my current partner, and we have forgiven each other and moved on to start a new chapter,” Diamond wrote.
With his response, Diamond emphasized that he had already moved forward from his past relationship and was focused on his current life.
