Tanzania’s government has come out to address viral claims that Kenyans have bought all the tickets for their CHAN match against Morocco on Friday, August 22.
Kenya and Tanzania have for the longest time engaged in a light online banter, and the rivalry escalated during the CHAN tournament.
While at it, on Tuesday, unconfirmed reports emerged online that Kenyan fans have purchased tickets for the Tanzania vs Morocco clash.
This was aimed at not cheering for Tanzania but at supporting Morocco and denying local fans access to the stadium.
However, the country’s government spokesperson, Gerson Musigwa, has denied the claims, terming them unfounded.
He termed Kenyans cowards while questioning their interest in the game.
