Actress and social media personality Carrol ‘Sonie’ Muthoni appears to be giving love another chance following her much-publicised breakup with comedian Mulamwah. The content creator, who shares a child with the comedian, recently hinted that she is no longer on the market during a candid Q&A session with fans on Instagram.

In response to a follower who asked, “Mbona hunitaki?” Sonie replied cheekily, “Juu siko soko,” loosely translating to “Because I’m not on the market.” Her playful response left fans speculating that she may indeed be seeing someone new.

The speculation grew stronger when another curious fan asked whether she would be revealing her new partner. Sonie quipped, “Heh noo, hii Nairobi ficha mtu wako kama bhangi,” a humorous warning that translates to “In Nairobi, hide your man like contraband.” The remark reflects a growing trend among celebrities choosing to keep their relationships out of the limelight to avoid unnecessary scrutiny.

In recent weeks, Sonie has shared photos of herself enjoying quality time with an unidentified man, often seen holding hands and appearing close, though never revealing his face.

Sonie’s relationship with Mulamwah ended after four years, during which they welcomed a daughter together. The aftermath of their breakup included public tension, with Mulamwah claiming he was denied access to their child and, at one point, even denying paternity. However, the two have since been seen together, suggesting they may have reached some form of understanding, at least for the sake of co-parenting.

While Sonie remains tight-lipped about her current relationship, fans are keenly watching for more clues — though it seems she’s in no rush to make things public.
