Several passengers are injured after a Climax coach was involved in a grisly road accident on Sunday morning.
The bus, which was en route to Nairobi from Busia, crashed at Awasi-a location notorious for frequent road accidents.
Emergency responders have been dispatched to the scene to carry out rescue operations, while authorities have launched an investigation to establish the cause of the accident.
Following the incident, the Motorists Association criticized the management of the bus company, noting that despite repeated concerns over safety, no meaningful action has been taken.
This is the second accident involving the bus company in a week.
On Sunday last week, at least 20 passengers were injured after the Climax bus they were travelling in, headed for Nairobi, overturned in the Kimende area of Limuru, Kiambu County.
