Safaricom has been crowned the Most Admired Brand in Africa at the prestigious 2025 Brand Africa Awards, reaffirming its place as a powerhouse in the continent’s branding and innovation landscape.

The telco clinched the top spot for the second year in a row, while also sweeping five major categories, a clear sign of its leadership in mobile money, internet, and communication services.

Safaricom took home the following awards:

•Most Admired African Brand
•Most Admired Brand – Telecommunications
•Most Admired African Brand – Contributing to a Better Africa
•Most Admired African Brand – Doing Good for Society and the Environment
•Grand Prix Winner – For purpose-led excellence and commitment to sustainability and impact

The recognition comes as Safaricom marks its 25th anniversary, a milestone year that highlights the company’s continued dedication to innovation, customer focus, and building a more inclusive digital future for Africa.

The Brand Africa Awards, established in 2010, celebrate brands shaping the continent’s identity and competitiveness through consumer-driven research and insight.
