President William Ruto has affirmed his administration’s commitment to professionalising the public sector, aiming to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery to Kenyans.
Speaking at the historic graduation of nearly 6,000 chiefs and assistant chiefs at the National Police College Embakasi ‘A’ Campus in Nairobi County, President Ruto noted that the training will strengthen operations at the grassroots and facilitate the orderly implementation of government projects.
“We are professionalising the public sector, making it more efficient and effective, to enhance the delivery of services to Kenyans. The training of close to 6,000 chiefs and assistant chiefs – our frontline officers at the grassroots – will strengthen their operations and facilitate orderly implementation of Government projects,”he said.
He highlighted that the last training for National Government Administration Officers was conducted in 2016.
The President also praised the officers for their dedication in public service, particularly in the registration of farmers on a digital platform, which has already recorded over seven million farmers.
“This training is a critical step towards a more efficient and effective public service, ensuring that government projects are implemented smoothly at the local level,” President Ruto said.
