President William Ruto has emphasized that Kenya’s transformation requires unity of purpose and the collective commitment of all citizens.
Speaking at State House, Nairobi, after a meeting with grassroots leaders from Meru County, the President said the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) is already delivering tangible progress across the country.
He noted that the framework has helped stabilize the economy, create more job opportunities, and expand key sectors including agriculture, healthcare, housing, and modern markets.
“Our transformation demands unity of purpose and the power of collective action. It cannot be delivered in an instant, nor by one person alone, but through our shared resolve, sustained commitment, and steadfast consistency,” the President said.
During the deliberations, the leaders discussed major development priorities for Meru County, including the upgrading of roads, construction of modern markets, transformation of Meru Town into a city, and securing sustainable markets for miraa farmers.
