President William Ruto is in Malava, Kakamega County, for the burial of the late area MP Malulu Injendi at his home in Lukusi Village.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is in attendance, alongside Speakers Moses Wetang’ula, Amason Kingi, Governor Fernandes Barasa, MPs, and other dignitaries, to bid farewell to the late MP, whom many have described as a servant of the people.
The lawmaker passed away on Monday, February 17, at the age of 58, while receiving treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi.

Speaker Wetangula described the late Injendi as a dedicated and passionate representative who served his constituents with unwavering commitment and integrity for three terms consecutively since 2013.
Kakamega County Governor Fernandes Barasa said the late MP worked tirelessly to advance education, strengthen the sugar sector and champion the interests of his constituents in Parliament.
“His commitment to the people of Malava will be remembered and his legacy will endure,” added the governor.
Until his death he was the Vice Chairman of the Education Committee in the National Assembly.
