Speaking during a public gathering in Evurore on Wednesday, CS Ruku reportedly affirmed the administration’s focus on seeing through ongoing infrastructure projects, emphasizing that the goal was to deliver “tangible development to the people.”

The Cabinet Secretary, a former area Member of Parliament, highlighted the recently tarmacked Kanyuambora–Kamumu–Kageeri Road as a significant achievement, telling the forum that the project had drastically improved mobility, trade, and access to essential services for residents in Gitii and surrounding regions.

“As a government, our commitment is the continuity of quality services to the people of Mbeere North and Embu County,” Mr. Ruku was quoted as saying. He added that the newly completed roads and other initiatives “reflect the government’s focus on development that directly transforms lives.”

The event attracted hundreds of local residents, many of whom voiced their support for the government and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate, Leonard Leo Muthende, who is vying in the upcoming Mbeere North by-election.

Residents reportedly praised the government for the road project, noting that it had unlocked economic opportunities and eased transport, particularly for farmers and traders.
