The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is set to hold its inaugural referee training sessions in three key regions: West Pokot, Moyale, and Marsabit.
This initiative aims to improve the standard of match officiating across the country by providing referees with the latest techniques and insights into officiating.
The training in Moyale and Marsabit will take place from February 27 to March 3, with sessions scheduled at Moyale Boys High School and the Saku Youth Empowerment Center, respectively.
In West Pokot, training will run from February 28 to March 3.
To ensure the success of these sessions, FKF has appointed experienced instructors for each location. Richard Obare will lead the training in Moyale, bringing his extensive knowledge to support aspiring referees in the area.
In Marsabit, Edward Lumbugu will guide the training, sharing his expertise to elevate the region’s officiating standards. Meanwhile, Caleb Amwayi will oversee the West Pokot training, ensuring participants receive valuable insights into effective match officiating.
These sessions are part of FKF’s broader strategy to enhance officiating at all levels of football in Kenya.
The training program is expected to attract both aspiring referees and experienced officials eager to refine their skills.
By bringing these training opportunities to different counties, FKF is fostering talent development and ensuring that all regions benefit from professional officiating expertise.
Participants will learn the latest FIFA laws, match management strategies, and the fitness standards required for top-level officiating.
