Bandari Football Club has lost a promising youth player Daud Zacharia who died after a short illness.
The club in a statement today said who hailed from Bangale in Garissa County, was one of the most talented forwards in the Bandari Youth setup and had a bright future ahead of him.
Last season he emerged as the top scorer in the FKF Coast Region League after netting 23 goals—a performance that earned him admiration and attention from scouts across the country.
His contributions helped Bandari Youth secure promotion to the FKF Division Two League, marking a major milestone in the club’s history.
Additionally, Zacharia played a pivotal role in guiding the team to victory at the 2024 BingwaFest Cup, further cementing his legacy as one of the finest young players to emerge from the coast in recent years.
“We send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the entire Bandari FC community during this difficult time. He will be missed,” the club added in its tribute.
