Comedian Professor Hamo has opened up about the devastating impact his infidelity had on his career, finances, and personal life. The father of five shared his story in a recent appearance on the Mic Cheque Podcast, discussing how his affair with fellow Churchill Show comedian Jemutai took a massive toll on his life and reputation.

The comedian estimated that he lost around KSh 14 million in endorsements and brand deals, as companies quickly distanced themselves from him.
Reflecting on the aftermath of the scandal, Hamo admitted that the financial fallout was significant. “When everything went public, it felt like everything came crashing down. The calls stopped coming in, and the brands I had been working with no longer wanted to associate with me,” he said. The comedian explained that while the scandal was a major factor in his financial difficulties, it wasn’t the sole cause. “I had already been making poor financial choices long before the scandal. So, it wasn’t just the affair—it was a combination of things,” he explained.
Despite losing valuable income, Hamo shared that the emotional toll of his actions was far more painful. He spoke openly about the hurt he caused his wife, describing it as one of the hardest parts of the ordeal. “The most painful part was knowing that I hurt my wife, someone who had always stood by me,” he confessed. “She didn’t deserve that, and I felt deeply ashamed.”

Losing everything made me realize that I had a chance to rebuild and become a better version of myself,” he shared. Hamo expressed immense gratitude for her unwavering support, saying that her strength helped him get back on his feet. “She never gave up on me, even when things were at their worst.
