Pritty Vishy

Kenyan content creator Pritty Vishy has defended her decision to forgive city Bishop Muthee Kiengei despite insulting her earlier. She also apologized to fans who felt disappointed after she forgave the Bishop. She acknowledged receiving support from the online fans and understood that they might be disappointed by her decision. 

During an interview on Oga Obbina Channel Updates on September, 12 she said,  “Am really sorry for those who went… It was all about me and my heart. Wengine walinitext wakapiga wakaniuliza kama am okay. People will gaslight you on social media until siku moja ujipate pekee yako. Usifuate bendera.”

 The whole controversy started when the flamboyant city Bishop criticized Pritty Vishy’s behaviour and her personal choices. During a past interview on his on JCM TV with Lizz Wangui.He said, 

” Pritty Vishy was preying on Stevo Simple Boy’s fame. Anataka kujulikana lakini kwa kunona. Si mrembo, hawezi kuimba…she’s not pretty, let’s be honest… She’s not appealing…”

 His harsh and judgemental words sparked an uproar and backlash from the public and Vishy’s fans as well

Despite the public outcry, Pritty has decided to approach the whole situation with forgiveness. She further acknowledged that the Bishop’s words hurt her. However she emphasized on holding onto anger will not be productive. Pritty insisted that forgiveness is a powerful tool for peace and personal growth. She therefore decided to move forward without harbouring any hatred towards Bishop Kiengei. 

She expressed that she understands the nature of public figures and all the challenges they face in their roles. In as much as she disagrees with how the bishop addressed her, Pritty believes in the importance of maintaining a positive outlook and not allowing any negativity to dictate her actions. 

Pritty Vishy’s decision was met with mixed reactions, some people have praised her for her maturity. Others have questioned her whether forgiveness is the correct approach to such public criticism.
