President William Ruto has led the nation in celebrating Kenya’s outstanding performance at the 2025 London Marathon.
The President, in a warm congratulatory note on X, extended his special congratulations to Sebastian Sawe for his magnificent victory at the 2025 London Marathon.
He described Sawe’s achievement as an inspiration to aspiring athletes across the country.
“Your outstanding performance is an inspiration to aspiring sportsmen and women across the country, a true testament that every dream is valid,” said President Ruto.The President also extended his praises to Alexander Mutiso, who secured a strong third-place finish, upholding Kenya’s proud tradition of podium dominance on the world stage.
Joyciline Jepkosgei was also applauded for her courageous and determined effort in the women’s race, where she finished second showcasing the relentless spirit that defines Kenyan athletes.
President Ruto recognized the legendary Eliud Kipchoge, who finished sixth, commending his enduring example of perseverance and teamwork.
“Well done Team Kenya. You have once again made us proud,” President Ruto concluded, expressing the nation’s collective pride in our athletes.
