The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) has issued dates for the 2025 professional pharmacy exams, which will take place between November 17 and November 20, 2025.

The exams will comprise both Pre-registration (Stage I & II) and Enrolment (Level I & II) exams and, similar to past years, will be held online at recognized centres across the nation.

The applicants should submit their details through the PPB’s portal not later than October 31.

All candidates are required to select a preferred centre for examination, but the Board cautioned that centres may differ depending on the circumstances.

The students have been advised to visit the portal regularly for updates.

To take the exam, candidates ought to ensure they possess a reliable computer with reliable internet.

The computer also needs to possess sufficient power to continue working for three consecutive hours without any disruptions, in order to protect against power failures.

There will also be an obligatory practice session on November 17, the day before the exams begin, to guide candidates through the online process.

The Board also plans to organize mock exams that students can practice at home with dates yet to be announced.

PPB also reminded the candidates with disabilities or medical conditions that could affect their ability to attend to inform the Board in advance and provide supporting medical documents so that arrangements are properly made.

The exams are a key milestone for pharmacy students and graduates as they are the actual entry into registration.

The passage of them allows the candidates to practice lawfully in Kenya.

According to the Board’s view, the exams are not merely about just fulfilling a requirement of law, but about ensuring that all who enter the profession possess an identical level of national quality, be it locally trained or overseas.
