Mining Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho on Thursday led a consultative meeting in Mombasa with Coast region leaders, including senators, Members of Parliament, and the Governor of Mombasa, alongside Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen.

The leaders discussed key issues affecting communities along the Coast, including security, drug and substance abuse, gender-based violence, and the welfare of security officers.

They also explored ways to improve civil registration services and make government programs more responsive to local needs.

Joho said the meeting was an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between national and county leaders.

“Our focus is on working together to ensure safety, dignity, and better services for the people we serve,” he said.

The session highlighted a shared commitment to people-centered solutions and practical approaches that will support sustainable development in the region.
