Peter Salasya, the Member of Parliament for Mumias East, has recently shared the reasons behind his decision to remain single at the age of 36. During a radio interview, Salasya explained that his current priorities and the weight of his responsibilities have kept him from pursuing a romantic relationship at this time.
Salasya emphasized that, although he encourages young men to settle down and take on the responsibilities of marriage, he believes his focus would be compromised if he entered a relationship too soon. “I recently advised the people of Mumias who are of age to get married, because every man in my constituency should have responsibilities,” he said. He further noted that, in his view, unmarried men often contribute to societal problems.
Despite being focused on his work, Salasya made a lighthearted yet bold declaration regarding his future plans, stating that when the time is right, he intends to marry three wives. In the meantime, he urged women who might be interested in him to be patient, as his current priority is serving the people of Mumias East.
The MP has previously shown interest in socialite Huddah Monroe and Khalif Kairo’s ex-girlfriend, Cera Imani, but for now, his focus remains on his political and personal responsibilities. As he continues to serve his constituency, it seems Salasya’s journey toward love will be put on hold until the right moment.
