NTSA Issues Warning to Drivers as Rains Make Roads Hazardous

Drivers have been advised to be cautious on the road as the effects of the ongoing rains are being felt across the country.

In a notice on Thursday, the National Transport and Safety Authority advised road users to be careful on the road due to the ongoing rains, which have also caused fog in different parts of the country.

The advisory comes in the wake of the Kenya Meteorological Department’s announcement that the rains are set to continue.

According to the NTSA, the ongoing rains and the fog have made the road slippery and have reduced the distance that one can see.

The NTSA has advised drivers to be careful on the road and to make sure that they are not driving too close to the car in front of them, and also advised them to make sure that their headlights are on when it is raining.

They also advised not to park their cars on the road if the car has stalled, as this has the potential to cause accidents.

Meanwhile, motorists have also been advised to avoid driving on flooded roads, with the advice that it is risky and can easily cause damage.

Pedestrians have also been advised to cross the road at designated points, with passengers also being advised to remain alert and speak up if they are not safe.
