Over 180 golfers are expected to tee off this Saturday at the par-73 Nakuru Golf Club as it plays host to the sixth leg of the 2024 NCBA Golf Series.
The high-stakes event will offer a chance for top players to qualify for the Grand Finale later in the year.
This leg follows successful rounds held at VetLab Sports Club, Nandi Bears Club, Malindi Golf Club, and Kenya Railway Golf Club. At Nakuru, six outstanding players will earn coveted slots in the 2025 NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale. These include:
Overall Men’s Gross Winner, Overall Ladies’ Gross Winner, Division 2 Men’s and Ladies’ Winners, Overall Division 3 Winner and Junior Winner.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora expressed enthusiasm about the return to Nakuru.
“We are truly excited to be back in Nakuru for what promises to be another fantastic leg of the NCBA Golf Series,” said Gachora. “Nakuru Golf Club holds a special place in our journey — not only for its scenic beauty and rich history, but for the incredible hospitality from the local golfing community.”
He added that the course is known for its challenging layout, which promises an exciting competition.
“We’re expecting a great showcase of talent, passion, and sportsmanship. But beyond the competition, this is also about nurturing the relationships we’ve built with our customers and partners across the Rift Valley. Nakuru Golf Club Captain, Eng. Michael Mululu, confirmed the club’s readiness to host, emphasizing the importance of such tournaments in promoting golf at the grassroots.
