There has been growing discord in the Mt Kenya region since the impeachment of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
A section of the region’s electorate has turned against President William Ruto’s government for supposedly betraying their own.
However, political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has warned them against the move.
Taking to social media, Ngunyi said President Ruto will be re-elected in the 2027 General Election even without the votes from the Mt Kenya region.
He insisted that the leaders who are leading the Central Kenya electorate to rebel against Ruto are misleading them. Ngunyi said such leaders are pursuing their selfish interests at the expense of the people.
"Those who hear what I am saying, you will be isolated for many years to come. And those leading you to rebellion are selfish. Ruto will be elected in 2027 without you. That is my point," said Ngunyi.
