Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has condemned political violence and warned that perpetrators will face decisive action regardless of their affiliation.
He urged leaders to embrace tolerance and focus on issue-based politics to positively engage the youth and promote national development.
“As our security agencies intensify efforts to bring those responsible to book, we call on the Judiciary to treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and to set a firm precedent that will deter all those who seek to engage in such acts, now and in the future,” he posted on his social media.
Murkomen also called on the Judiciary to handle such cases firmly to deter future incidents.
He spoke during the Cherangany Unity Cup finals in Trans-Nzoia, attended by Deputy IG Gilbert Masengeli and local leaders including Kakai Bisau, Robert Pukose, and Lilian Siyoi.
