Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has melted hearts online after sharing a touching video of his infant son for the first time.
Posting on Instagram on June 12, Salasya showed the baby resting on a bed, dressed in a blue onesie and flashing a smile.
The proud father noted the child’s uncanny resemblance to him, joking that he didn’t need a DNA test. “Ni mweupe kama mimi huyu. Aki huyu hata DNA sitaki. Nimekubali,” he captioned.
Salasya revealed he met the child’s mother during last year’s Gen Z protests and now wants the baby taken to his rural home for a traditional hair-shaving ceremony.
The post drew mixed reactions, with fans congratulating him while others warned against sharing photos of young children online.
Some even urged him to formalise the relationship with the baby’s mother.
The revelation comes just months after Salasya claimed he was too busy for love. However, he maintains he still plans to marry three wives, eventually.
