Lang’ata MP and entertainer Felix Odiwour, popularly known as Jalang’o, has put on notice young people, especially the GenZs, who don’t purchase ticket events but forcefully want to attend for free.

The tendency, christened ‘occupying events’ is common nowadays since the rise of the supposed woke movement led by the GenZs.

For instance, on Sunday, March 30, Jalang’o regretted that some GenZs wanted to occupy a Luo event in Nairobi dubbed The Fisherman Experience.

However, the MP noted that they were dealt with properly, sounding a warning to others. He said organisers invest a lot of money in events, and any effort by the young people to attend them freely will not be condoned.

"You can't just decide that you won't buy tickets to events!! Ati wewe uta occupy! People invest in these events!! How would you feel if people came to your shop and decided to pick things without paying? You can't occupy people's investments!" said Jalang'o.
