Outspoken politician Moses Kuria has resigned as President William Ruto’s Senior Advisor in the Council of Economic Advisors.

Taking to social media, Kuria announced his resignation from the position that he had held for just 10 months, adding that President Ruto had graciously accepted his decision.

Prior to the advisor role, Kuria served as Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry for 11 months and Public Service, Delivery and Performance Management for nine months.

In his statement, he thanked the president, who he described as friend and boss, for giving him the opportunity to serve in his Kenya Kwanza government.

"As I move on to pursue personal interests, I am proud of the work the president and I did to implement the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda, which I designed together with the President as our 2022 Electoral Platform. Long Live Kenya," said Kuria.
