Residents of Mulinge Phase Four Estate in Mlolongo are decrying increased insecurity cases in the last three months.
The residents claim that crude weapon-wielding goons allegedly ferried from Nairobi have been attacking them at night, injuring scores and destroying property.
The goons are said to have been hired by a Nairobi-based land grabber who is keen on evicting them from their homes.
Athi River East Sub-County Police Commander Anderson Mbae has cautioned against such attacks, saying law enforcement agencies are on top of the matter.
The residents are now calling for heightened security patrols and swift action to protect them from further violence.
