Former governor Mike Sonko has sparked online reactions after sharing his HIV test results as his part of his ongoing health and weight loss journey.
Sonko posted a video on Tuesday showing himself undergoing a series of medical tests, including an HIV test.
In the clip, the attending nurse checked blood sugar levels, cholesterol, uric acid and glucose levels. He also conducted a HIV test, sharing the results with the public.
Sonko looked shocked after misreading the result, prompting the attending nurse to clarify the outcome again. Though the nurse reassured him only one line was visible, confirming the result as negative.
In that moment of shock he said, “I thought that it was two lines but it is not, it is just like that. Hapo kwa HIV tests leo ndio kuna shida kidogo lakini tunaendelea na exercise tu from where we left.”
He also checked his weight, confirming he now weighs 80 kg, stating he has added a kilogram during his recent travels.
