Classic 105 presenter Mike Mondo has revealed that he married off Shiko Nguru at the office of the Attorney General. Sharing the exciting news on air, Mike Mondo told Mwalimu King’ang’i on Classic 105 that,
“I made you a promise and told you that before 2024 ends, I am going to get married,”
Adding “We went to the Ag officiated it and then went for a nice lunch at Sankara. A big thank you to Chef Gitonga.”
At the beginning of the year the celebrated radio personality shared with Presenter Kalondu Musyimi that this year he wanted to marry. He shared that,
“One of the things that’s happening this year is I’m gonna settle down. Number two I’m trying to improve certain areas financially. I think I’ve been undercover for a lot of my career. Number 3 is to just be the best version of me.
” What am I doing at 42 running around and kwani mi nakaa mbaba? Nianze kuzunguka na young girls? It’s time, it’s not even about being unmarried. Settling down is a lot of things. You just calm down, you make your life a lot more calm, work on your craft, grow, and become more of an individual who has meaning and purpose in life.”
Online users have questioned Mike Mondo’s decision to engage with Shiko Nguru, who has children with another man.
In response to opinions expressed by online critics, Mike Mondo took to the online space to address the matter.
He shared his perspective asserting that,
“At the end of the day, you who are complaining about Shiko and me continue. I am quite okay with all the love or hate you send my way. Usichokikula hakikufinyi, unye ama ule,” (“What you do not eat does not press you, whether you drink or eat.”)
