Mbadi Drops Ex-Governor Wycliffe Wangamati From State Board Role

National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has revoked the appointment of Wycliffe Wangamati as the Chairperson of the Public Service Superannuation Fund Board of Trustees.

Wangamati, who served as the second Bungoma Governor was appointed to this post on June 8, 2024 by the then National Treasury CS Prof Njuguna Ndung’u to serve for three years.

In an official Gazette notice, CS Mbadi revealed that the former Governor ceased to be the chair effective June 27.

”In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 (1) (a) of the Public Service Superannuation Scheme Act, as read together with section 51 (1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act, the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning revokes the appointment of Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati,” the notice reads in part.
